| Tai
Chi/Chi Kung |
|
| Has the
idea of improving balance, health, energy and learning an ancient
martial art exercise at the same time ever cross your mind? |
|
| The
practice of Tai Chi promotes the circulation of chi or life energy
within the body, encouraging wellness and vitality of the person. Tai
Chi benefits both genders and people of all ages. Tai Chi is an
exercise that exerts no strenuous action, there are no jumps, no
aerobics, no running. Although many of these movements were originally
derived from the martial arts, this art form has developed into an
exercise meant for relaxation and reduction of stress. |
|
| Christ
the King offers a Tai Chi / Chi Kung class to accomplish all of these.
The class meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 p.m. in the cloister
(reflection garden). In cases of inclement weather, the class meets in
the parish hall. |
|
| The
class is free and all are welcome. For more information, contact either
Deacon Bob True or Jim Hofstetter at 615.292.2884. |
