Bob
True, Deacon
Bob True was ordained a
permanent deacon in the Roman Catholic Church by Bishop Kmiec, on May
14, 1999. He originally became a member of Christ The King fifteen
years ago after completing a three year course and being commissioned a
Lay Pastoral Minister. He was asked by the then new pastor, Father
Mallett, to launch the RCIA process for the parish. Prior to coming to
Christ The King he was a member of St. Henryís Parish were he taught
Adult Education, served on fund raising projects and served on the
Parish Council. He is a founding member of the Lay Retirement Board for
the Diocese, has been active in the Cursillo movement, served on the
committee responsible for implementing parish councils after Vatican
II, is a member of the Diocesan RCIA committee, the Diocesan
Stewardship and Development Committee, and the Diocesan Priestly
Vocations committee. He and his wife, Shirley, worked as a team couple
in the Search program for teenagers for many years and were one of the
original team couples on the Weekends for Engaged Couples.
Bob's ministry at CTK includes
RCIA, marriage
preparation, weddings, marriage enrichment, and spiritual
direction. Bob is a financial consultant by profession. He has
been married for forty five years to Shirley Landrum True, who has been
supportive and participative in all his ministry. They have five
children, three of who are members of CTK and ten grandchildren.

David Lybarger, Deacon
David
Lybarger has been
a member of Christ the King Parish since 1988. He was ordained
deacon in June 2006 and is currently involved in the 11am Mass Choir,
the Schola Pacis, a men's quintet, Parish Nursing , and Basic
Communities. He also serves as a catechist for RCIA. Dave and
his
wife Cindy have four children, all graduates of Christ the King School,
the last two of whom are still at Father Ryan High School.

Kathy
Skinner, Director of Children and Youth Formation
Kathy Skinner has a B.S.
in Elementary Education. She is also a certified catechist in the
Diocese of Nashville. Kathy began her ministry when she was a freshman
in high school as a teen leader for vacation bible school. She has
served as a catechist and as a DRE in other parishes. Kathy now serves
us as our Director of Children and Youth Formation, serving the parish
and school as one community. Kathy and her husband, Jeff, have three
sons: Craig, Grant and Trent.

Christine Caron Gebhardt,
Christ the King School Principal
Christine
Caron Gebhardt serves as principal of Christ the King School. Christine
has been a member of Christ the King Church for over twelve years and
served as a catechist for Confirmation for four years and Director of
Religious Education for eight years. For two years prior to becoming
the principal, Christine moved with her husband, Carl, to Seattle where
she taught Moral Theology and worked with the local community on issues
related to biomedical ethics. She is a graduate of Dover Catholic
Academy and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH where her
family of origin resides. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the
College of Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, followed by a Masters of
Theological Studies at Vanderbilt Divinity School here in Nashville.
She is currently completing a doctorate in Ethics, Culture and Society
from Vanderbilt. Christine is also a certified catechist in the Diocese
of Nashville where she has taught classes in Moral Theology and
Biomedical Ethics.

Sherry Woodman, Christ the King
School Assistant Principal
Sherry
Woodman has been a parishioner of Christ the King for fifteen years.
She is a graduate of St. Edward School and St. Bernard Academy, with a
B.S. in Elementary and Special Education from Peabody College and an
M.B.A. from Tennessee State University. She served as a School Board
member from 1988-1991 and was instrumental in establishing the schoolís
initial Strategic Plan and Annual Giving Campaign. Mrs. Woodman began
teaching at CKS in 1993. Her current teaching assignment is the
Language Arts Resource Program, which serves students who have special
needs in reading, spelling or writing. Mrs. Woodman has served as a
school chair for school improvement planning since the schoolís initial
accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Sherry and her husband, Jay Woodman, have one son, John, who is a
graduate of Christ the King School.
