the King School’s gifted learners will be exposed to a wide range
of learning opportunities and academic activities that will address
their educational, psychological, and social needs. Students will
further develop their passion for learning and an appreciation for
individual differences through open discussions, critical thought
exercises, and creative choices in the classroom. |

- Extension of grade-level classroom curriculum- enrichment activities will relate to what is being taught in the student’s classroom.
- Larger academic scope- enrichment activities will combine various subjects and interests, such as Language Arts with Math and Art.
- More student autonomy
when it comes to choosing books, research topics, and classroom
extension assignments, which allows for individual talents and
interests to be explored.
- Increased peer interaction- small-group lessons will allow students an opportunity to work closely with their intellectual peers.
- Diversification of literature choices- students will be required to read books from a variety of genres, authors, and eras.
- Incorporation of technology into assignments and research.
- Parent communication- Frequent notes home, phone calls, emails, etc. with updates on each student’s progress in the Enrichment classroom.
