Greetings to the families of Christ the King students!

My name is Valerie Czechowski and I am thrilled to be in my first year of teaching at Christ the King School! It is my pleasure to welcome your child to music class. I am looking forward to getting to know the students and sharing my love of music with them throughout the year!

I completed my Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and my Master of Music degree in Music Education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I also completed a year of opera study at The Boston Conservatory. During my vocal studies, I had the privilege of performing in several musical theatre and operatic productions. Some of my favorite roles have been singing the title role of Cinderella in Massenet’s French opera, Cendrillon, the role of Elisa in Mozart’s Il Re Pastore (The Sheppard King), and the role of June in the musical, Gypsy. After completing my undergraduate studies, I decided that nothing would give me more joy in life than sharing my love of music with children.  During my graduate studies and teacher certification program, I received extensive field experience in both elementary and middle school classrooms. I am proud to hold a K-12 music teaching certificate in both Texas and Tennessee.

We have many exciting learning opportunities ahead of us this year. My goal is to provide a positive, respectful learning environment in which students are motivated to do their very best. I believe that education is an important partnership involving the teacher, student, and family; therefore, feel free to contact me at valerie.czechowski@ctk.org if you have any questions or wish to set up a conference. I am in the school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of every week.

Thank you for the opportunity to create music with your child. I look forward to a great school year!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Valerie Czechowski
