Welcome to Pre-K

    We are going to have a great year together. In the classroom we are combining the DLM program and Zoo-Phonics. Your child will be learning the sounds of letters before the name. This is important, since we learn to read by sound. Both the DLM and Zoo-Phonics include math, science, and social studies. In religion we will be learning the different aspects of our faith. The prayers that we recite daily are Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Angel of God, and Grace before meals.
    During the year we will have visits to Christ the King and St. Ann School. Your child will need to be dropped off and picked up from the school we are visiting. Besides the visits to the schools, we will have in house field trips.
    At the end of the year we will have a graduation with the other preschool classes at St. Mary Villa. We will send more information on time and place as it nears.
