The learning resource room offers learning support to Christ the King students.

Students who qualify for an I.E.P may receive instruction in reading, writing, and spelling as planned and agreed by the students' parents, Dr.Gebhardt, their classroom teachers, and Ms. Caudle, the learning specialist.

Students needing decoding and fluency support in their class reading programs may be given that support by Ms. Caudle as agreed by the classroom teachers, the administration, and the students' parents. These students receive extra decoding or fluency practice in the students' classroom reading programs or in the Wilson Reading program (see www.WilsonLanguage.com) These students are recommended for this support by their teacher but do not have Individual Educational Plans.

Classes are scheduled for individuals or small groups during regular school hours, 1, 2, or 3 times a week. Ms. Caudle's reading resource room is located inside the school library on the lower floor of the school.

No instruction is given without parental permission.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR PARENTS OF ALL CERTIFIED STUDENTS:

It is necessary to have your student re-evaluated every three years. If you choose to have that evaluation through the Nashville Metropolitan Schools, please don’t delay. Parents will need to call the Metro office of the Private School Liaison (Peggy Davis, 615-783-2805 ext. 3) to request a re-certification package. When returning the completed forms, please, remember to enclose a copy of the latest certification report if compiled by a private agency. This process is especially important for seventh and eighth grade students.
