Classroom Rules, Procedures, and Consequences

Procedures

● Walk to the Spanish class in a silent and orderly manner (if applicable).
● Have nothing but Spanish materials on your work area.
● Open to the last page assigned.
● Have homework on desk.
● At the beginning and end of the class the teacher will acknowledge the students
   and the students will acknowledge the Spanish teacher by saying “¡Buenos Días!”

Consequences – is what happens when they do not follow rules or make poor choices. 

Classroom Rules

● Follow directions
● Show respect to self, others and property
● Use tools and materials with care
● Avoid accidents - keep desk area clean and free of clutter.
● In the event that a teacher needs to be out of the class room for any reason –
   Students are to remain in their seats quietly working on the current assignment!
 
Positive

● Praise.
● Positive notes to parents/guardians
● Positive remarks to your homeroom teacher about your cooperation in class
● Caught Ya’s
● Out of Uniform pass

Negative

Warning              - The first time a student breaks a rule they will be redirected and asked
                               to focus on the project no points will be issued. But this will be
                               documented in OptionC as a “0”
Second incident   - Move and work by yourself; severity point recorded in OptionC               
Third incident      - Isolated Lunch and severity points recorded in OptionC
Fourth incident    - Sent to Mrs. “W”, loss of recess, a behavior reflection, a conduct
                              referral, five (5) severity points recorded and a phone call home.                     
Severe Clause      - Sent to Dr. Gebhardt, ten severity points recorded and a Conduct
                               referral for the severe clause for making very poor choices about:
                               fighting, inappropriate language, bullying, non-cooperative,
                               and/or aggressive behavior
