Entrance Hymn - “I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say”
I heard the voice of Jesus say,
“Come unto Me, and rest;
Lay down, thou weary one, lay down
Thy head upon My breast.”
I came to Jesus as I was,
Weary, and worn, and sad;
I found in Him a resting-place,
And He has made me glad.
I heard the voice of Jesus say,
“Behold, I freely give
The living water: thirsty one,
Stoop down, and drink, and live.”
I came to Jesus, and I drank
Of that life-giving stream;
My thirst was quenched, my soul revived,
And now I live in Him.
Responsorial Psalm
R. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
Offertory Hymn – “Christians, Let Us Love One Another”
Christians, let us love one another,
As we share the true living bread,
Jesus is our God and our Brother,
With His flesh and blood we are fed.
Every one who loves is born of God,
Jesus is our life, God is love.
We who bread this bread are one body,
We who share this cup are all one.
Children of our Father in Heaven,
We are heirs with God's only Son.
Every one who loves is born of God,
Jesus is our life, God is love.
Wheat and grape incarnate a mystery,
Jesus is the true living bread.
Let us eat with joy and thanksgiving,
Trusting in the words he had said.
Every one who loves is born of God,
Jesus is our life, God is love.
Jesus is the vine, we the branches,
We are grains of wheat, Christ the Bread,
Those who eat this bread live for ever,
One with Christ, our Lord and our Head.
Every one who loves is born of God,
Jesus is our life, God is love.
Communion Hymn - "Wait for the Lord"
Wait for the Lord, whose day is near,
Wait for the Lord: be strong, take heart! (Repeat)
(Taize)
